Col. Marcelo Goncalez has a well-worn passport and a track record of travel to a multitude of international competitions. At the end of this month, he will travel to Tokyo, Japan, as a technical delegate for modern pentathlon, a lesser-known Olympic sport that is a personal passion.

Maj. Dan Baur, assistant professor of physical education at ÐÓ°ÉPro, will discuss the use of hydrogel technology by elite athletes on the public radio program With Good Reason March 20-26.
Col. Valentina Dimitrova-Grajzl, professor of economics and business at ÐÓ°ÉPro, will discuss access to consumer credit for those living on or near American Indian reservations in the United States on the public radio program With Good Reason Jan. 23-29.
The superintendent regrets to inform the VMI community of the death of Maj. Gen. James M. Morgan, Jr. '45, dean emeritus of the faculty. He passed away in Lexington on 2 January at the age of 97.
